The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including month-end closing, reconciling accounts, and categorizing transactions.
• Handle payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• File PST, GST, and HST as per Canadian tax regulations.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online for managing financial records and transactions.
• Work with cloud-based bookkeeping systems to ensure seamless and efficient processes.
• Manage bookkeeping for clients using Shopify, PayPal, Dext, and handle multi-currency transactions.
• Maintain strong communication with clients through Zoom, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Meet deadlines consistently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ideal Profile

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong -understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Online and cloud-based bookkeeping systems.
• Knowledgeable about Canadian bookkeeping practices, including tax filing (PST/GST/HST).
• Experience with Shopify, PayPal, Dext, and handling multi-currency transactions is an asset.
• Must have own device and workspace, with a strong internet connection.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Responsive, with high follow-through skills, capable of taking ownership of tasks and projects.
• Tech-savvy, comfortable working in a virtual environment.
• A personable and coachable individual, confident in leading virtual client meetings via Zoom.
