Job Description
We are seeking a Real Estate Financial Analyst to join our dynamic real estate division, reporting directly to the Director of Underwriting and Analytics. In this key role, you will lead analytical efforts related to development, redevelopment, and acquisition underwriting, as well as prepare investment memoranda.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough underwriting of potential acquisitions and developments to align with our investment criteria.
- Analyze markets across the nation to understand the supply and demand dynamics for new development opportunities.
- Identify competitors to assess rental rate potential and analyze demographic trends.
- Collaborate with real estate acquisition and development teams to gain insights into local markets and ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain dashboards to track trends and facilitate comparisons across various investments.
- Gather deal-specific information through research, including industry, economic, and demographic data.
- Prepare insightful financial analyses and presentations to support senior management decisions.
- Perform ad hoc operational analyses, monthly pipeline reporting, investment forecasting, capital budgeting, and reviews of historical investment performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis, asset management, or private equity. Experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with an energetic, organized, and creative mindset.
- Highly motivated and able to learn and work independently and collaboratively.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands under tight deadlines.
- A flexible and personable approach to working effectively with a diverse range of individuals, from team members to executives.

Additional Information
We value teamwork and believe in the power of in-person collaboration while also recognizing the importance of flexibility. Team members are expected to work in the office five days a week, with the option for up to three flexible remote days per month.
