Job Title: Accounting Specialist-Payroll

Location: Omaha

Reporting to: Accounting Manager/Plant Controller

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Plant Controller with all phases of accounting functions
• Oversee payroll staff and assist in any day to day payroll functions
• Use payroll reports to run labor efficiency report, documenting plant productivity and efficiency by way of employees present, cattle processed, overtime costs, PPE costs etc.
• Track plant utility costs and send report to upper management daily
• Track and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Assist with all other special projects and tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager or Plant Controller

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Knowledge or experience working in meat or food processing industry preferred but not required
• Experience working in Kronos or SAP systems preferred but not required

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, namely Excel
• Must be able to multi task and possess strong detail oriented analytical abilities
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid time off: sick leave, vacation, and company observed holidays; 
• 401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
• $25.00/hr base rate
