Job Description

Paralegal (Contracts & Compliance)

This position will coordinate operational activities at the company to ensure that everything meets applicable government regulations and ordinances. Additionally, this position will assist in reviewing and managing the company’s commercial contracts, licenses and permits. Furthermore, this position will assist with drafting key agreements related to the company’s acquisitions and summarizing key provisions therein.

  • Coordinate the filings of all necessary licenses and permits for all locations
  • Maintain the contract management system
  • Maintain the document management system
  • Assist with creating forms of commonly used documents
  • Proofread contracts and other legal documents
  • Create summaries of key deal terms for company acquisitions
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the closing of acquisitions
  • Manage workload independently
  • Deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines as well as handle multiple tasks
  • Perform well as a team player

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in contract management, compliance, law or a similar field

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Paralegal certification
  • Experience in human medicine or veterinary medicine
  • Experience maintaining a document management system and contract management system
  • Proficiency in Asana, DocuSign, and ShareFile
