Job Description

ProStaff Workforce Solutions is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Houston, TX.

Contract
$20 hourly
Schedule – Monday-Friday - 8 am-5 pm plus weekend (if needed)

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklift trucks (Toyota 5K) to move materials within the warehouse
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers using forklift trucks
• Secure and stabilize materials on pallets to prevent them from falling or shifting during transport
• Inspect forklift trucks before each shift to ensure they are in proper working order
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and ensure inventory accuracy
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisor to coordinate and prioritize the movement of materials
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification, a plus
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or similar setting
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
• Good communication and teamwork skills
