Job Title : Contract Specialist  
Reports To : Project Executive  
Classification : Full-Time, Exempt
Location : Fort Lauderdale, FL

LPL Solar is a self-perform construction firm focused on building large-scale solar projects for utility companies and Independent Power Producers (IPPs). Our operations team have a combined experience of 84GW of solar experience over 650+ projects in thirty states and the Canadian province of Ontario.
As a Contract Specialist at LPL Solar, Inc. you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the contract lifecycle. You will be responsible for issuing contracts, finding and vetting vendors, drafting and refining scopes of work, and managing the request for proposal (RFP) process. Your expertise will ensure that all contractual agreements are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Issuing Contracts
  • Utilize Procore and DocuSign to prepare, issue, and manage contracts.
  • Ensure all contracts are accurately completed and signed by all parties.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all issued contracts
Vendor Management
  • Identify and evaluate potential vendors to perform required work or services.
  • Conduct thorough vendor assessments to ensure they meet company standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
Scope of Work Development
  • Draft and fine-tune scopes of work using previous projects as guidelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure scopes of work are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Update and refine scopes of work as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Request for Proposals (RFP)
  • Develop and issue RFPs to potential vendors.
  • Ensure RFPs are clear, detailed, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Manage the RFP process, including timelines, communications, and evaluations.

Quote Management
  • Receive and analyze proposals from vendors.
  • Compare proposals to ensure they meet project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Communicate with vendors to clarify any discrepancies or questions regarding their proposals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration; contract management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Procore, and DocuSign.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM, CCCM).
  • Experience in the construction sector.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
