Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reception Duties: Greet and assist visitors and answer phone calls. Maintain a welcoming and professional front office environment.
  • Visitor Information and Support Services: Provide information on college programs, events, campus navigation, and parking logistics. Guide visitors and callers to the right contacts for their specific needs.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with clerical duties such as filing, copying, data entry, and preparing meeting rooms. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Manage Classroom/Office Access: Provide access to secured rooms and offices and maintain a master key log to track sign-outs and returns by authorized users.
  • Manage Thank You Letters for Alumni and Donors: Manage the process of thank you letters to alumni and other donors on behalf of the dean.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the Dean's Office staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of Student Finance
  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
