Job Summary:

Responsible for partnering with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to perform advanced data analysis using data management and quality tools to provide useful insights to the health of the University's data, as well as to help identify creative solutions to medium and long term literacy issues facing the University.

Essential Duties:

• Leverages programming, analytics, and statistical processing, and data quality tools to monitor the quality of data from which the University makes informed decisions.
• Examines complex data to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected.
• Partners with data stewards, data owners, and stakeholders in resolving data quality problems and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and systemic solutions.
• Partners with the all university constituencies to support the sustainment of UTA's data literacy program.
• Collaborates with the University Analytics organization to understand UA data products and support in the creation and facilitation of training, educational materials, presentations, and other program materials.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a data-intensive discipline.
• Experience in a data analysis, data quality and/or data management role.
• Experience in analyzing data and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of data structures and data visualization.
• Experience with data governance principles, including data policies, data standards, data stewardship, data privacy and security and be able to apply those in a practical setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree or higher in related or data-intensive field.
• Three (3) or more years higher education experience working with the data quality, data across university systems, data literacy, and faculty/staff training.
• Three (3) or more years demonstrated experience in training various audiences.
