We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will work closely with our logistics team and Director of Distribution to enhance our 3PL and freight strategy. The ideal candidate will support vendor partnerships, streamline administrative processes, and provide analytical insights to improve performance and cost management. Key Responsibilities:
3PL Service Level Management: Act as the primary point of contact for 3PL vendors, managing exceptions and reviewing reports to ensure smooth operations.
Order Fulfillment Tracking: Maintain backlog files, monitor open order shipping and fulfillment statuses, and provide updates to key stakeholders.
Shipping, Receiving, and Invoicing: Coordinate and execute all shipping, receiving, and invoicing tasks, ensuring timely and accurate updates in company systems. Facilitate EDI integration and workflow automation to reduce administrative tasks.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory at assigned locations, ensuring accuracy and sufficient capacity. Proactively address potential disruptions.
Freight Coordination: Purchase and coordinate freight in alignment with company strategy, ensuring on-time delivery and timely communication updates.
EDI Support: Monitor and troubleshoot EDI issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all products are handled and transported according to quality standards and safety regulations. Maintain compliance with relevant transportation and distribution regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance logistics processes and reduce costs.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipping documentation, trade compliance, and financial processes.
CHEP/PECO Transfers: Ensure proper tracking and transfer of pallets in designated portals on a weekly basis.
Perform additional logistics-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
3+ years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or distribution role
Strong analytical skills with experience using Power BI, Excel, and SAP (SAP experience highly preferred)
Understanding of financial and accounting concepts related to budgeting and cost allocation
Proficiency in MS Office, with intermediate Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment
